Free hosting is available to government and government assisted schools, funded by TTNIC.
However we recommend that schools use Google Sites instead — it is free for educational institutions and far easier for staff to keep up to date.
Once your domain is active you can apply for free education email plans from
Google or
Microsoft
and give every teacher an address such as name@yourschool.edu.tt.
Who can register
You will also be asked for the school's address and telephone number, and the name and email address of one contact person.
How to register
Something staff and parents can type from memory — an abbreviation or the school's name without spaces.
Look up the name in the registry search. If another school holds it, try a variation.
Give the school's name, type, address, phone number and a contact person on the registration form.
Principal must send us a letter (on official stationary, signed, scanned and emailed to admin@edu.tt) authorizing the provided contact.
TTNIC verifies that the school is eligible for a domain name, activates the domain, and lists it in the directory.
If your school is eligible for and is request free hosting then we will send instructions for uploading content.
The directory
Names are grouped by type. Each entry links to the school's domain and to its registry record.
