Welcome to the website for the Trinidad and Tobago component of CISMI: the Caribbean Information Societies Measurement Initiative, a component of the IDRC-funded Caribbean ICT Research Programme.

 

CISMI will investigate and present data and analysis on the status of selected core ICT indicators (access and usage) as well as broadband and mobile usage in selected Caribbean countries which are representative of the situation across the region.

 

The data collection for this initiative will be led by ECLAC Port Spain and OSILAC in partnership the University of West Indies in T&T and Jamaica and with institutional support of CARICOM and NSOs

 

The project strategy will seek to involve the participation and deployment of a comprehensive survey in as many countries as possible, through the National Statistical Offices, with the long term objective of covering the whole Caribbean Region. In the first instance, the survey will be deployed in Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
