The Competitor must:

 I. Be a software developer involved in teaching and/or innovation at a Tertiary Level Institution in the Caribbean. Applicants who are academics, research or project students, academic support staff such as teaching and research assistants all qualify

AND

 II. Be 35 years of age or younger on November 1st 2011.

 

 *Please note that while Teams will be allowed to participate in the CICMAD, they must meet the following criteria

  • One (1) person must be named as the project lead/ representative and will be responsible for liaising with the CICMAD Organizing Committee on behalf of his/her team.  As stated in the eligibility clause, this person must be “35 years of age or younger on November 1st 2011 and must be a software developer involved in teaching and/or innovation at a Tertiary Level Institution in the Caribbean.”  Applicants who are academics, research or project students, academic support staff such as teaching and research assistants all qualify.

  •  All members of the team must be identified along with their names and contributory roles in the submission.  The team is responsible for its internal organization and management.

  •  Prize Distribution: The CICMAD does not offer a ‘team’ prize or ‘team’ cash award.  The division and distribution of the prize money among team members will be the responsibility of the team members.  IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT TEAMS CREATE A WRITTEN AGREEMENT, SIGNED BY ALL MEMBERS, RELATING TO PRIZE DISTRIBUTION PRIOR TO ENTERING THE COMPETITION. The CICMAD Organizing Committee will not act as a mediator in cases of disputes among team members.
