What is email aliasing?

An email alias is essentially an email address that points to another (target) email address. Mail sent to the alias will be forwarded to the alias' target.

This service is provided so that you can have email addresses at your domain (e.g. principal@yourschool.edu.tt, webmaster@yourschool.edu.tt). Mail sent to these addresses will be forwarded to the target addresses you specified during registration.

How do I upload content to my web site?

The only way to upload files to it is through SCP (Secure Copy) or SFTP (Secure FTP).

WinSCP is a good graphical SCP/SFTP client: http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/download.php. (Don't worry, WinSCP is very easy to use, it's similar to an FTP program.)

To configure WinSCP insert your edu.tt domain name as the host name and use the user name and password you submitted during registration.

When you login you start in your home directory. The directory named www in your home directory is the root of your web site. The content for your web site must be placed in this directory.

What makes up a valid domain name?

A domain name can be up to 67 characters long (this includes the characters used to identify the top level domain .edu.tt).
